Summary of Essential Job Functions:

As the Sanitation Supervisor you report directly to the Sanitation Manager and are responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper sanitation throughout the facility.

Abilities Required:

• Must have prior bakery and supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees within a team-oriented environment.
• Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a solid foundation in food processing manufacturing (preferably baking).
• Union plant experience preferred.
• Strong communication, human relations, and safety awareness skills are essential.
• Working knowledge of computers, including MS office applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follows the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOP’s, assisting the department and training new team members in the job functions.
• Plans, manages, and directs plant sanitation procedures, programs and regulatory requirements ensuring all equipment is clean and safe for production.
• Adheres to high sanitation, GMP, and safety standards. Must be capable to be trained in Lock Out Tag Out, fall risk protection, and narrow space entry.
• Follows the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOP’s, assisting the department and training new team members in the job functions.
• Assists in ATP swabs and environmental monitoring.
• Must learn the CIP functions on yeast tanks and brew systems.
• Must learn the flour intake and storage systems.
• Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the FSSC 220000 for Food Safety and other third part audits.
• Reports immediately any malfunctioning equipment, safety hazards, and damages to the proper channels.
• Additional requirements to be given by the Sanitation Manager.
